Frequently Asked Questions

Find out why Fairnurse is the right choice for your practice

Overview

There are many nurse agencies out there, so what makes Fairnurse different?

Fairnurse is unique in many ways. Fairnurse empowers the dental community to work together. Our platform allows you to find the right nurse, when you want – all in a matter of minutes. To top it off, we offer top dental nurses at truly affordable rates.

Are there any upfront recruiting or contractual costs for me as a practice?

To join Fairnurse is free, zero subscriptions and no contracts. You pay for the hours your nurse works. Nothing else.

How it works

I require nurse cover at very short notice and sometimes for long-term. Is Fairnurse still a valid option for me?

Yes, as long as you need a nurse, Fairnurse is a good option! We specialise in providing dental nurses for all circumstances, whether it is a last minute requirement or longer term, for instance maternity cover.

How do I join Fairnurse?

Simply create an account on our platform, post a job, and leave the rest to us.
We have a huge team of dental nurses across the UK, and any local nurses matching the job criteria will be notified and given the opportunity to apply.

After posting a job, how long is the wait time to receive options for available nurses?

We always strive to have a strong number of skilled nurses available to start on any job requirement with short notice.

In most cases, you should expect to receive the first round of nurses within 5-10 minutes.
You can also browse our database of nurses and contact them directly. Or if you wish, Fairnurse will automatically book the nurse for you.

Do you offer benefits to corporate groups if they list you onto their Preferred Supplier List (PSL) or Approved Supplier Lists (ASL)?

Fairnurse likes to keep things simple and not restrict your supplier flexibility or include silly lock-in ties. We would much rather focus on increased service and support. With this in mind, we offer corporate groups, small or large, a KPI management system.

What is a KPI management system?

At Fairnurse we believe it’s important to measure the level of service you are receiving from us. You will have access to a number of reporting systems.

You will be able to monitor the success rate of us being able to supply you with a nurse. We aim to guarantee this being 100% of the time.

You will be able to monitor how often and how much you are spending on locum nurses each month and see visible trends.

You will be able to identify the geographical locations you have potential recruitment issues and the ability to identify specific practices with high locum nurse costs.

It sounds like you are trying to make practices spend less on agency nurses?

Our ethos is about fairness and always being transparent. We understand the economics of business and the benefits of having a robust reporting system.

Can Fairnurse arrange a nurse for me?

Yes. Simply tell us what you require, I.E a general dental nurse for a specific date and time and we will do the rest.

Do you add on administration charges when a nurse is booked?

No. The only time we will add on an administration fee is when you want Fairnurse to source you a nurse. This means you can click a button and a nurse will be arranged for you, just like that.

Can I call and talk to a real person? Or are you one of these anonymous platforms?

Sure, give us a call!

We appreciate having clear communication with our clients. This is how we want to work.

Our Nurses

You say that you qualify all of your nurses, what does that mean?

We will ensure each nurse is CQC compliant with the following:

We have Service Nursing Standards which detail our expectation towards the following:

What about a job contract, am I protected?

When all of our Fairnurse nurses are qualified and added to our network, they sign an agreement as well as a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with clauses covering the stakeholders, service agreement, goals & objectives.

What happens if I’m not satisfied with my nurse?

We always try to give you the opportunity to receive, review more than once nurse for job. And you, only you, have the final say in whom you choose to contract.

Given this, we are aware that things don’t always end up the way they are planned. If something happens during the length of the job, we are here to assist you and help you find a new nurse for you therefore no productivity is lost.

Where are your nurses located?

At the moment we are only contracting nurses in London. In the near future, nurses from other geographical areas in the UK will be available as well. Please continue to check our website for details on our expansion programme.

What surgery clothing do your nurses have?

All Fairnurse nurses have scrub trousers, scrub tops and suitable footwear.

How does the payment process work?

We invoice you after the job is completed and the payment terms are 30 days.

What happens if the invoice is incorrect?

We give you the opportunity to review the time report from the nurse before we send you the final invoice. You will always have the opportunity to confirm the information before payment is processed. If something looks strange on the time report, please contact us ASAP and we will take the necessary steps to correct the information.

Are there any cancellation fees?

There are no cancellation fees on our contracts. If you are going to cancel the job please do it before 24 hours time, prior to the booking start time, otherwise you will be charged for the job.
